Pastor Cody grew up in Mississippi but came to call Kentucky his home in 2018. He came to College Hill Methodist in 2024, having previously served at an addiction recovery ministry and, before that, as a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 8 years. Cody also has experience in youth ministry, camp ministries, homeless ministry, and college ministry.

He recieved his bachelors of Philosophy and Religion from Mississippi State University in 2016, an M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2022, and is currently working on a PhD in Biblical studies also at Asbury. Cody specializes in biblical languages, apocalypticism, second temple Jewish literature, Johannine literature, and socio-historical background of the New Testament.

Cody is passionate about making the Bible understandable to everyone. He believes the Bible is God’s own word revealed to us, and it calls us to a radical new way of living in Christ to worship God, serve the poor, and love our neighbors. In his spare time, Cody enjoys playing music, hiking, riding motorcycles, and playing D&D with his friends.
